I'm so honored that you're interested in having me document your life at this exact moment. Whether it be your family or just yourself, I want to bring out all that makes this life so beautiful. I like to get the real moments, and have your whole experience with photography be a relaxing and joyful one. I love the photojournalistic images that capture interaction and emotion, but I do give a few posed/traditional photos as well. Since we all have unique preferences for what we want, I strive to give you a variety of choices. I like to chat (whether in email or by phone) with my clients before each session to make sure you are getting what you want in regards to your images.
Yes, every photo is taken in RAW format. From there, I compress the image and edit it so the photo is at its best quality for you to print and share. I choose the best photos from the session to give to you. To see how many images are typically given with each session, see my pricing page.
What about black and white or color photos? This part is called "artistic rendering." Sometimes the photo works best in color, sometimes black and white, and sometimes both. I consider the finished product and will give you a variety of edits based upon each image. Every photo is a piece of art to me, from the initial capture to the final edit.
Currently, I do not have a studio. This means I primarily use natural light and shoot on location. I do, however, use lighting equipment for home sessions, and try to incorporate natural light as much as I can.
Processing takes approximately 2 weeks from your session. (Weddings take approx. 4 weeks.) I will let you know if there will be any delays in you receiving your photos.
How many photos do I get? Each session has a specific amount of photos given. This is the minimum number of photos I give per session, so it is likely that you would receive more images.
What is your preferred method of payment? Check or online payment is accepted.
When is payment due? The deposit (50% of your session) is due upon returning your signed contract to me. The remaining payment is due at the time of the session. No photos will be delivered until payment is made in full.
What if I have to cancel my session? Your deposit is good for a year, so you may book anytime within a year. If you decide to cancel your session altogether, 40% of your deposit will be returned to you.
If there is one thing I want for my clients, it's for them to get their photos into their lives. If you're interested in having your photos professionally printed or having me create custom art pieces for you, such as albums, image blocks, canvases, etc., I'd love to help. Please let me know if you'd like to receive a full list of printing options.
